1. What is the deadline for application?
MAY 30, WITH NOTIFICATION BY JULY 1.
2. Can I apply for the Charles Benton Junior Scholar Award and the Student Paper Award?
YES, BUT YOU MUST APPLY SEPARATELY TO EACH AND YOU MAY ONLY WIN ONE.
3. Do I have to attend the conference and agree to produce a blog article for the Benton Foundation in order to win?
4. My paper/poster was accepted for presentation at the conference! Am I also eligible for the Benton Junior Scholar Award?
CONGRATULATIONS! YES, YOU MAY PRESENT YOUR PAPER/POSTER AND STILL WIN THE AWARD.
5. My project/paper is co-authored with another junior scholar. Can we split the award?
AS LONG AS THE SUBMISSION IS YOUR WORK AND NOT CO-AUTHORED WITH A FACULTY ADVISOR OR OTHER NON-ELIGIBLE APPLICANT, THE AWARD CAN BE SPLIT BETWEEN TWO OR MORE ELIGIBLE JUNIOR SCHOLARS.
6. My project/paper is co-authored with another scholar. Can the paper still be considered for this award?
(i) IF A PROJECT/PAPER IS CO-AUTHORED BY TWO OR MORE ELIGIBLE JUNIOR SCHOLARS, THEN THE WORK IS ELIGIBLE, AND THE AWARD CAN BE SPLIT BY THE AUTHORS.
(ii) IF THE PRIMARY AUTHOR OF A PROJECT/PAPER IS A PH.D. 7. Can I submit more than once for the Charles Benton Junior Scholar Award in a given year?
